Shakespeare's birth
The actual date of Shakespeare's birth is not known, but, traditionally, April 23, 1564, has been Shakespeare's accepted birthday, and a house on Henley Street in Stratford is accepted as Shakespeare's birth place.

On ignore le lieu et la date réelle de la naissance de William Shakespeare.

Shakespeare's first years.
William Shakespeare was lucky to survive in sixteenth-century England. The plague killed many people all over Britain. Some of William's brothers and sisters died in early childhood.

Peu d'enfants survivaient à l'époque. La peste décimait l'Angleterre.

Shakespeare's education.
Shakespeare probably began his education at the age of six or seven at the Stratford grammar school. As was the case in all Elizabethan grammar schools, Latin was the primary language of learning. Although Shakespeare surely had some lessons in English, Latin composition and the study of Latin authors were the most important part of his education.

Shakespeare was removed from school around age thirteen because of his father's financial and social difficulties. It is difficult to know what he did before becoming an actor: maybe he worked as a schoolmaster or as a lawyer or with his father. Or perhaps he continued studying on his own.

The only certain thing about this period is that he married a pregnant orphan named Anne Hathaway.

L'étude du latin et des auteurs latins a inspiré Shakespeare dans certaines de ses  pièces , qu'il soit ou non resté longtemps à l'école.
